ACE Programme

Athlete Centred Education

Welcome to the ACE Sports Programme at Kingsley, an initiative designed to enhance the sporting journey of both our Sports Scholars and non-scholar students. This programme provides tailored opportunities for young athletes to further their sports development, enabling them to make significant contributions to our vibrant sports community.

The ACE Programme is specifically geared towards students with the potential to excel in sport. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of essential training principles and will be encouraged to apply this knowledge to their athletic progression. Central to our philosophy is the development of fundamental movement skills alongside sports-specific competencies, ensuring each student improves their individual performance levels.

At Kingsley, we are committed to fostering a well-rounded athletic experience. In addition to their main sport, students will have the opportunity to explore other sports that cultivate vital transferable skills. Through this approach, we aim to instil qualities such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. We uphold a culture of sportsmanship and respect, promoting fair play among all pupils involved in the ACE Programme. Join us in nurturing the next generation of exceptional athletes!

Learning to fail

A winning mindset

A key component of the ACE Sports Programme is understanding that failure is not just an obstacle, but a vital stepping stone on the journey to success. It’s important to remember that if we're not encountering challenges, we may not be pushing ourselves enough. Each athlete experiences moments of regret, whether it’s a failed trial or a defeat in competition. Yet, these experiences can serve as powerful opportunities for building resilience and fortitude.

Join us in the ACE Programme, where we will help you recognise and reflect on failures, equipping you with the tools to bounce back and transform setbacks into stepping stones towards achieving your goals. Embrace the journey—it’s worth it in the end!
