A Sweet Success: Cupcake Creativity at Kingsley Devon

A Sweet Success: Cupcake Creativity at Kingsley Devon

Activities Week has been off to a fantastic start.  The Hospitality Department has been filled with delicious aromas and creative energy. Our students have been busy baking, decorating, and packaging over 300 cupcakes in just two days!

Year 7s combined their culinary skills with scientific knowledge in a STEM-inspired project. They used science experiments to create unique cake toppings, adding a creative twist to their home-made cupcakes.

Year 9 and 10 students were challenged with a real-world task: fulfilling a customer order. They designed and produced their own cupcakes, complete with custom packaging. Some of the standout creations from today included:

  • Year 9: Asher and Archie's superhero-themed cupcakes with eye-catching packaging and Bonnie, Leire, and Judit's beach-inspired treats.
  • Year 10: Valentina and Elinor's elegant cupcakes with a romantic Valentine's Day theme and Charlie and Emily's intricately decorated space-themed creations.

It's been a delightful showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork. The cupcakes look absolutely delicious, and we can't wait to see what other sweet surprises our students have in store for us during Activities Week!
