Welcome to this week's video newsletter from Kingsley! I'm speaking from the ISA conference in Birmingham, where we are planning the many opportunities provided by the Independent Schools' Association for our students.
This week our students showcased their adventurous spirit by completing the Ten Tors Challenge on Dartmoor, demonstrating our core values of being active, giving, appreciating, connecting, and learning.
We celebrated student achievements in athletics, with many hoping to advance to the national finals later this term, and also to the Devon county finals. Congratulations to Sennen, Charlie, Logan, Alfie and Hamish for making it to the final trials of the Exeter Chiefs development squad and especially to Alfie and Hamish for making it through to the final development squad. Over 100 students have been active in surfing this week, with even more set to participate in the coming weeks. Good luck to Willow and Ollie in the national surfing competition at Watergate Bay this weekend.
Exciting opportunities ahead include a scuba diving course to earn a PADI certificate and an overseas trip to France with the Surf Academy. Look out for separate communications from Mr Hall and Mr Dupuy.
Finally, I announce the retirement of Mrs. Rae Wilson from our Prep School after 30 years of dedicated service. There will be opportunities after half-term to join me in showing our gratitude for her immense contributions to Kingsley School.
Have a great weekend!
