The Grenville Centre provides specialist support for students normally aged between 11 and 16 years old, who have some form of learning difference including autism or global delay.
Students will access some or all their provision in the Grenville Centre building where class sizes are small with a maximum of 8 students. The environment is quiet with low distraction or stimulation and the staff provide a student-led, calm learning space which meets academic needs, develops social skills and supports emotional regulation.
All students are Kingsley students and members of the Kingsley family. Students accessing provision in the Grenville Centre may also attend mainstream classes in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, will be members of one of the 4 school Houses for competitions, and have full access to the sports, arts, and outdoor education programmes.
The warmth and gentleness of the caring staff provide all students with a safe learning space and provides a nurturing environment where students want to come to school. Most importantly, the students feel that they belong to a nurturing, fully inclusive school and feel that they are truly valued as part of the Kingsley family.
